From my quiet time this morning...

Hear the words of King Hezekiah as he encourages his people of Jerusalem.

“With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.”

These words were spoken as the nation of Judah, of which Hezekiah was king, faced the very present danger of battle with Assyria. Though the people of Jerusalem were taunted and threatened by a much stronger army, Hezekiah prayed and encouraged his people to stand strong and take courage.

Again, hear the following words from 2 Chronicles 32:8. And may these words be close to your heart and mind when YOU are faced with a battle of any kind!

“With him is an arm of flesh,
but with us
is the Lord our God,
to help us and
to fight our battles.”
