WOW.....Who'd have thought that 8 months would pass without a post to this bog! This morning, when using an 'old' computer, I checked my favorites list and found this blog among my bookmarked sites. Feeling quite negligent, I thought I'd just post a brief update on my Walk With God. :)
While I love Jesus Christ and am devoted to serving God. I honestly can't say today that I am loving Him "with my whole heart". Have you ever caught yourself in the midst of saying this phrase, realizing that, indeed, you have placed something or someone in front of Christ and you ARE NOT serving and loving with all that you have in you?
I think what often happens in our lives, is that we WANT and LONG to serve Christ so dearly, that we end up THINKING we are loving Christ as best we can...when we actually are not and we have a long way to go to be loving and serving God as Jesus did. We end up doing just like Jesus cautioned His followers NOT to do... In Matthew 6:24 Jesus says,
"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other..."I know that what I need to do is to live and practice my walk with Christ in a more intentional manner. I need to rethink my daily walk, and live in a more "moment by moment" manner. Perhaps by breaking down my day into hours or quarter hours, I might learn to manage my time with greater focus on Christ. Just a thought...and one that I think I'm going to try today! Maybe you can consider this idea for your life! I'll keep you posted on this method of 'Walking God's Way". :)
