Facebook is famous for not only social networking, but the many applications that are available to utilize and 'play with'! Some of these applications are, to say the least, very questionable, if not even downright dangerous! Be careful and think and pray before you subscribe, haphazardly, to some of these applications!

A particular application that causes me apprehension is that of "Anita, the Online Psychic". I see quite a few of my Facebook 'friends' who refer to the "predictions" of Anita for strength and power for their daily lives. I HOPE that many of my friends, who use this application, do it in innocence; ignorant of the dangers associated with this form of occult practice. Today I took the opportunity to share the Truth with a dear friend and former co-worker of mine. Beyond my short note to my friend, I felt the need to expound on this practice because even the slightest reliance or reference to such 'powers' is troubling to me.

I believe, as scripture teaches, that any acknowledgment or trust in something or someone OTHER than the One, True God, is very dangerous and plainly dishonoring to God.

Today I searched the web a bit and found a very good link to the Biblical teaching and Truth about the occult, psychics, witchcraft and such. Time is so short and our lives are so fleeting, I pray that we, who profess the name of Christ, would truly consider how God wants us to live and that we would put into practice the example of Jesus, the Christ in our daily lives! Even the seemingly insignificant or innocent actions and acknowledgements may have negative effects in our lives and the lives of others.
