The lyrics to a simple worship song came to my mind after I read Oswald Chamber's "My Utmost for His Highest" this morning. Today's writing spoke of KNOWING GOD, which is something different and quite beyond simply praying to God for direction or an understanding of His will.

I must admit that I do not know God as I want to. Just like any human relationship, a relationship with God takes TIME and INTIMACY and a GIVING COMPLETELY OF SELF. Too often I simply rush through life, unfortunately following my own agenda, instead of intentionally seeking and spending time with GOD, the One I love.

This morning I will go to my family's church (as I vacation here in PA) to review and practice piano music before I play at the worship service tomorrow morning. I will set aside my practice time as an intimate time of worship and fellowship with God.

Following are the lyrics to the chorus of the worship song that came to my mind. Maybe I'll even search some song books for this song and incorporate it in my personal worship time this morning!

Oh, I want to know You more
Deep within my soul, I want to know You
Oh, I want to know You
To feel Your heart And know Your mind
Looking in Your eyes Stirs up within me
Cries that say I want to know You
Oh I want to know You more
