I am officially beginning a VACATION right NOW!

I love my job and the children I care for, but I am really looking forward to a break from the stresses of being a nanny and household manager! I'm looking forward to 11 WORK-FREE days!

My employer is undertaking a 'road-trip' with the three children and will leave CT on Monday for 10 days of sight-seeing and stop-overs with family and friends! I am very blessed to have been given this time off work!

At present, my only scheduled plans include my weekly Bible Study tomorrow morning and worship on Sunday morning followed by the first (of 6) "New Member" classes at my church in Darien. Yes...after attending Calvary Baptist Church for nearly 2.5 years, I will be officially joining that church family!

Monday and Tuesday of next week I'll spend just puttering around my house and working on some miscellaneous craft projects. It will be nice not having to be anywhere or, on the other hand, being able to be anywhere! (Some of my favorite places to "be" are the beach, Barnes and Noble, Panera Bread or Joann Fabrics!)

Wednesday morning I'll be driving to PA to visit family and friends! My grandsons are growing and I can't wait to see them! The oldest is now 1 year and 10 months and his little brother is 9 months old! Get ready, Tucker and Evan...Grandma's coming to visit!

I will also be visiting my daughter who works in State College and will be having a 'sleep over' at her apartment in Bellefonte on Thursday night!

Next weekend I will be enjoying some fun activities in Central PA with my daughter, sister and whoever else wants to go along! We'll be hitting antique shops, yard sales, a local garden center's Spring Open House, along with shopping and eating! Sunday morning I will play the piano for early worship at my family's church then out for Sunday brunch with my mom and church friends! In between all that, I will be visiting with my mom and relaxing at her home in Beaver Springs! I am looking forward to trying out my new Verizon broadband card for my lap top while in the 'sticks' of central PA! I hope to find a strong Verizon signal at my mom's home!

Most of all, during this vacation time, I'm looking forward to the promise of uninterrupted time when I can dig into God's word, pray, meditate and spend some quality time with my Lord. I am anticipating a rich and spiritually full eleven days!

I am SO ready!

It will be great to enjoy some R & R!
